A player in the mould of Wharton is exactly what our midfield is missing, someone with a good range of passing but who also puts himself about a bit. If I was a Palace fan I would be worried about holding on to him.

Weirdly enough he's still gone a bit below the radar - see lots of united fans etc moaning about him wanting the lad from Brighton instead - despite Wharton being a far better player imo.

Glasner as I've been saying for ages (wanted him for a few years now) is just a top class manager - Wolfsburg, Frankfurt, Palace, within two seasons had each of them qualifying for Europe. Noticeable at each club players improved under him as well. Hope he doesn't go united as given time there he's have them back genuinely competing near the top.

Was soft but you’d think even simulating a punch would get a card for unsportsmanlike behavior

Absolutely. It is a red card down to the letter of the law.

Violent conduct is when a player uses or attempts to use excessive force or brutality against an opponent when not challenging for the ball, or against a team-mate, team official, match official, spectator or any other person, regardless of whether contact is made.

Richarlison was sent off for us simply for moving his head towards the opposition player without even making contact.

Fortunately for this fella, Tarkowski isn't a play actor. But if he'd have gone down then it would have given VAR a lot more to think about. Or if he was wearing a red Liverpool shirt it would definitely have been a red card for Uche.

Thought about it, and according to me @Nymzee with a little help from radio comms, I'm gonna go Keane for MotM, was very assured and was doing a good babysitting role for Tarkowski who was struggling in second gear because he's soldiering on through injury. It's no surprise late on he (JT) went down with the hamstring issue he's carrying. Don't get to reward Keane all that often so fair play to him.
Mr versatility gets a shout as easily the most consistent performer for us in the opening 7 weeks of the season, Garner has been very dependable wherever he's been asked to step in, an absolute colossus for us so far, calm, composed and looks like he's played each position for decades.
Pickford also mighty impressive, if not for Garner and Grealish he'd have the majority of MotM's so far.

I know keep saying it - But you don't move Garner out the centre..

If it wasn't for Dyche trying to ruin him, he would have been called up by now..

We find a RB, we don't take the heart of the the middle..
Very strong disagree. He's a decent player, but the team is noticeably slower when he plays in the middle. He's nowhere near creative enough to play that role effectively and right now he's our best full back.

Compare him to how Wharton plays and you'll see the chasm between them.
