…..think it’ll be close, not withstanding our struggles to score goals. Just looking at Burnley’s recent away scores;

Liverpool 1 Burnley 1
Sunderland 3 Burnley 0
Chelsea 1 Burnley 1

I agree, given our struggles to perform at home at both ends, plus the extra expectation of us playing a team so low in the table, I wouldnt be surprised if it becomes a bit of a struggle.

…ha, ha, they’ll be well organised like teams are at this level. No easy games.

We struggle to break teams down at home because we lack quality in the top third, especially since Grealish has been out. It’s not rocket science, it will have to be addressed in transfer windows.
We also fail to push right up and play attacking full backs, which is the manager's fault but that doesn't suit your narrative which is that it's all down to the players.

….you can have a ‘yardstick’ to win every game 3-0 against the bottom sides but the reality is different, games are difficult to win at this level and tonight will be no different.
Already building excuses for Davey post match?

two goals inside 20 mins would be great

settle the nerves get the place rocking

i imagine it will be same line up, but would like to see armstrong (or tim) in for gana and george in for mcneil

Much the same as Saturday please, no major changes needed. Tim in for Gana to give the old fella a rest would be acceptable!
Keep illy on the left please

I think the odd lineup on Saturday was based on an eye being on the game tonight too. Energy levels need managed, even before a weeks break.

With Tarks basically undropable it would seem, I'd like to see him go for the back 3 setup which faired so well against Leeds.

Alternatively, and I appreciate that DM will never go for this but what about.....

Pickford

Patterson JOB Brantwaithe Myko

Jimmy G Rohl Timmy I

Skiliman Dibling George

….as usual, it’s much more a case of posters on here setting him up for the fall. We see it every game.

All I’m doing is bringing a sense of reality that these games are difficult, in their last 3 away games Burnley have drawn at Chelsea and at the RS (as well as losing at Sunderland).
So you're saying recently promoted Sunderland were able to bum them at home.

Sooner or later Moyes is going to need to prove that he has the ability to win these type of games at home.

We have one single injury in the entire squad — there is no excuse not to win tonight with relative ease.
