Think McNeil does quite a bit defensively which is why Moyes selects him, but when you have O’Brian & McNeil on that side there is nothing going forwards. A reflection of the Managers safety first approach.

I had really hoped that learning on the job over a run of games would help him along more than it has. I think there’s potentially a player in there, but if we can get a striker in until the end of the season to take the pressure off then I think we should.

Barry was only ever brought in as potential. He's been thrown in as first choice number 9 and looks understandably lost.
