Absolutely none of that was down to the ref. It was down to poor in game management by Moyes (again) and stupidity by both players sent off. Defence was poor, Grealish was poor, Barry and McNeil were abysmal. For whatever reason everyone apart from Moyes could see it was screaming out for changes as we had completely lost momentum.

I agree he managed the game poorly and should have subbed earlier but these cards are individual errors.

His error was starting o’brien at RB it makes the whole back line off

He's reffed this match exactly as the FA-rules dictates them. He's good mates with Kavanagh who was on VAR as well. He's going to be part of the PrL-machine.

They wanted to strike down on dissent against the ref.

And the hair pull they have to follow the rules they made standard, with the Cucurella incident.

That being said, I think the rules are stupid.

The Grealish red 100% a red card all day long you just can't do that. The other one I think once it properly comes out in the wash we'll end up getting another apology.

Which is why this constant adherence to ‘experienced’ players at Everton is stupid. The players that make the most errors at Everton are Keane Gana Tarkwoski Mykolenko and McNeil yet we don’t give minutes to Dibling Rohl Aznou Patterson because they might make an error

Honestly, I thought he was a fair ref tonight. Both reds should’ve been given. We did this all to ourselves. Top clubs don’t do this. Shameful we couldn’t show composure knowing how thin the squad is. Shameful.

He'd no choice really with the first once VAR called it. The first yellow to Grealsih, an experienced Ref would probably either have a word or else have a word during the game to Gtealish. The 2nd one again no choice.

My gripe is why VAR hasn't called up the Huang foul on Armstrong. It was a foot into the upper calf, red all day long.
