I've been told repeatedly that we'll be pushing for Europe and that's why tanking out of the league cup is a good thing. Have I been misled?

Nowhere near enough goals for Europe.

I think Bournemouth have a good chance of top 7 this season. Semenyo is on 4 for the season already. Grealish isn't really a shooter when near the box so hard to think he's going to get 10 in premier league. Maybe Ndiaye if there are a few more penalties awarded.

I was of the opinion in the summer that we needed a right back to even call the transfer window an adequate success, so I was throughly expecting us to be a little disjointed since we didn’t sign one - but I’ve been shocked at how little Moyes has managed to get out of us as an attacking unit so far.

To have players like Grealish, NDiaye, KDH, Dibling, Alcaraz, McNeil… it takes some doing to look as toothless as we do with those options. We were considerably more free flowing in the second half of last season with only two of those players and they can’t get a minute between them.

Yes are strikers aren’t doing it but just swapping one for the other every game with absolutely no impact whatsoever tells you the problems are far more profound.

Moyes needs to find solutions and quick. We have won the same amount of games as some teams who’s managers are hanging on by their fingernails.

Yep, Davey seems like he is struggling with these players.

The expectations are massive.

I am a Davey supporter by the way, I want him to do well.

150m on new players and can’t even finish a turd like West Ham, all on moyes this. Out the cup and down the the table it’s not even October.

Top half after six games is an improvement on the previous seasons if a bit frustrating.

It could easily have been even better if we had been more clinical.

Our new signings late in the window will hopefully come on stream in the next set of matches.

Sunderland, for example, who did their business early showing how that can be beneficial.

KDH should of had a pen, united got the same pen earlier in the season
And the pundits were falling over each other to explain that whilst the foul was outside the box 'it carried on into the box'.

Yet another normalising of decisions for some teams but it was not even mentioned tonight.

FWIW I don't think either should be pens but the inconsistency is so consistent.

Just remember, for all those feeling down, that in a year from now this result won’t matter, it will just be part of the amalgamation of garbage we’ve put up with since Moyes left.
What a weird flex for Moyes. In a year from now Moyes' rubbish season will be just yet another rubbish season since we had Moyes, when everything was great? See how silly that sounds?

It was actually impressive how West Ham were made to look like prime Brazil in the second half.

Their 20-year-old full back was like a modern day Roberto Carlos, but we were told there were no ready made full backs available in the summer. Only £19m by the way.
