Completely agree. We've got to come up with a plan B on offense, as teams have already figured out that we're just going to try to force it into Grealish whenever we can and hope he pulls a rabbit out of his hat. So many games now he just gets double-teamed, and then we are unable to use that to find the open man even.

Agree on Myko too. He's no Baines obviously, but he does at least try to get forward and occasionally puts in a half decent ball. JOB needs to be playing CB.

We're unbalanced so badly to the left. Even KDH spends most of the time over there trying to connect with Grealish. Maybe we should try Garner at RB, drop KDH into the middle with Gana, and then put N'Diaye in the middle with Dibling on the right. Let Garner / Dibling / N'Diaye offer some balance on that side, then.
You can't take Garner out from centre midfield as he's been our best player this season arguably. Maybe the much criticised Patterson should play as at least it gives balance to the team. I await the usual Patterson haters now!

Top half after six games is an improvement on the previous seasons if a bit frustrating.

It could easily have been even better if we had been more clinical.

Our new signings late in the window will hopefully come on stream in the next set of matches.

Sunderland, for example, who did their business early showing how that can be beneficial.

I'd have preferred wins today and against Villa. Those games were there to be won.

Don't beat Palace and it's Man. City and Spurs straight after the break and then it might just be plodding along at a point per game and starting to look over the shoulder as West Ham will win some games in next six weeks with last half hour performances similar to that so that's one team who'll start to rise up the table.

Still not hugely worried but that is one of those games that does remind people talk of european challengers is a year too early based on where the first 11 and squad is.

Well what can you do? Picked up a knock against Villa and will probably be back after the international break so plenty of months ahead where he can make an impact.
True. It’s just worrying though isn’t it? Your injury prone midfielder only handing a small cameo before being injured already. Nobody’s fault per se but the summer business is being rightly questioned

Starting to worry that the opposition just need to stop Grealish to stop Everton

If we're not going to play either Coleman or Patterson from the bench when JOB is struggling as bad as he did tonight then we might as well put some other players on the bench. Maybe another couple of goalkeepers!
