Not sure why people getting stressed over the Cup - we're not equipped to win it right now - likelihood even with our full strength team best we'd do is QF/SF before bowing out to better opposition and even then you'd get the same fume levels from people thinking we're still sporting Le Coq Sportif.
That's worth pursuing for so many reasons it's not worth repeating them.

Would be nice just to have one slither of excitement and a cup run though wouldn’t it.

So tedious and boring just existing for decades with zero memories to kick back on. 30 years and nothing. Even the teams who go down and back up have some good memories in the bank

Its why I'll never accept mentality of playing weakened teams in any domestic cup.

Oh ye of little faith. Let's get this won and done.

Dreading this, just dreading it. I don’t think their manager or players will not respect it and will play a strong team, they are having a decent season and will want it to continue.

Moyes will have to make changes after the reds, but I hope he doesn’t drop Pickford (don’t think Pickford will let him tbh) and we take it seriously, we’ve got nothing left to play for this season, as I think we’ve pished any chance of Europe through the league places right up the wall the last few weeks.

Let’s have a go at it ffs, midtable and cup run would be progress.

A cup win would be dreamland.

I get why you lot are negative after the injuries, suspensions and last night. But you're hardly playing a team that's in good form in ourselves.

We have 6 players who are/ have been away at AFCON - the heart of the team. Without them, we most recently limped through two bruising London aways games with a depleted squad - and looked totally out of sorts in both games, one of them proved to be far too much and we were roundly beaten by Brentford - it's a miracle it was only three goals we lost by. Now we've got to go away again this weekend!

I know our media team, and even before those two aways this week we were completely running on fumes apparently. Before those London aways we had already gave it all against City for a draw, and look totally broken physically as a result. Before that we struggled against Leeds and Burnley, lucky to get a draw in both. We have plenty of injuries/ players who are just not there at the moment.

The upshot of all of that, is that we are certainly going to be making wholesale changes. I'd expect the team to basically resemble our Championship side. With Dan Neil, Luke O'nien, Chris Rigg, Anthony Patterson, Dennis Cirkin, Romain Mundle etc. coming in. If you haven't heard of them, there's a reason for that! These are players who have proven they're jsut not upto the PL standard at all unfortunately - and we will be offloading all of them in the near future.

Also just generally, we haven't won in 6 games (scoring 2 goals in that time) and we have only scored only 5 goals all season away from home...

I'm really looking forward to the game for a number of reasons, and I'll cheer the lads on always, but you need to get out of that 'Everton psyche' if you think we're gonna turn up and batter you!
This feller's more positive about our chances than most Evertonians on here.

Dont be dumbed down: accept that we have every right to win.

Let's get into these on Saturday and get in the hat for the draw for round 4.

Imagine if Moyes still doesn't start Patterson at Right back if he puts JOB into a central position.

He will become a greater player in some people's minds.

Take a look at the MOTM ratings from the match thread last night. 8 posters on here had him as MOTM after coming on for 5 minutes and heading the ball once.

Never has such a 💩 player had so much support.

Agendas all over the place Ild imagine.

If he starts we will win 7 nil and keep a clean sheet.

He is the missing piece of the jigsaw.

GK: Pickford
RB: Patterson
LB: Mykolenko
CB: Tarkowski
CB: O’Brien
CM: Iroegbunam
CM: Garner
AM: Armstrong
RW: Dibling
LW: McNeil
ST: Barry

Subs:
Aznou
Röhl
Beto
Are Keane and Grealish out for the cup game or the next league game? I'd stick Grealish in for McNeil if he's available, maybe Garner in at right back but dunno how to re-arrange the midfield in that case.

Anyway, UTFT, 5-0, Barry hat-trick and Dibling wonder goal and Beto off the bench - as ever in the unlikely event of this scoreline I am coming back claiming to be the second coming of Nostradamus.
