Garner was great today at the back

Garner was great at rb and JB was good at LB...it is because they are good players and can play other positions... but when they do we suffer in those areas. How about you start Patto, with help in front of him. If its not working THEN move Garner if it really is that bad. As for the Branthwaite call only canny Davey knows wtf that is all about.

Standing at the Ok corral, aka Sandhills. We may have been beaten tonight, but for once there was fight in our players. Never sure how it comes across on TV, but they showed spirit. Yes plenty of individual mistakes, but as a team far better than recent matches. We sang, we shouted and may be even swore! Clapped those players off because they deserved it.

Our best centre back playing left back out best central midfielder playing right back while two fullbacks on the bench . basically set up to counter with zero pace up front or wide .we are looking again at clearing out quite a few. players and bringing in probably six to replace given how our recruitment group performs not much confidence that's going to happen

If you really dissect that performance what is the main reason that we lost that game because we certainly didn’t deserve to lose.

They scored a decent counter attack goal. Their plan was to keep it tight and hope to nick a goal, the same way we've won most of our away games. If it'd stayed 0-0 they might have attacked more, but they didn't need to.

That’s exactly how they have played in every game under Carrick mate.

They are quite happy to absorb and counter.

The question asked of us is if we give you control of the game are you good enough to break us down - we’re not - that’s how you get a result against Everton we’re not good enough to break teams down.

Home particularly when we are given the innititive.

Very true...conversely that is why we've had some success on the road. Opposing managers know we cant break them down but would be crucified by their fans if they played on the backfoot at home against us...lucky us.

Well, seems to be mixed views on the performance. I thought we were awful and lost to an awful Utd side.

We are back to looking like we have no idea what to do in the final third, as if we are not coached.

Thought Garner was very good, but next game it will be JOB back to RB.

Tarkowski lack of speed made us too vulnerable to their counter-attacking threat

Maybe those 10 corners could have been used more intelligently?

In the first half we looked disjointed and out of sync in attack too often, although that improved eventually

Moyes always ca 8 minutes too late with that first sub

The fact we seem create next to nothing in a lot of games, does make me think

Are Ndiaye, KDH, Grealish (when he was playing ) any good

That front 3 and such a small goal return, & not many good chances created either

Maybe they arnt as good as we think, & when looking to find upgrades in the summer the squad, their positions shouldn't be guaranteed

Can't build a team in one season. Credit to Moyes for taking away the fear of a relegation battle from the minute he stepped through the door. He has done a good job regardless

He looks like he could be dangerous turning and running with the ball but our stock play is to whack it 50 miles in the air towards him.

The best I've seen him is wide, with the ball at his feet, running into space.

As even when we got the ball in wide areas there was only Barry in the box, so I’d love to know how Moyes anticipated we’d score a goal today. Other than a scrappy goal from a corner.
