DCL, Vlasic & Niasse played well and they weren't the problem, it was everyone else behind them.

Indeed, no one had a clue how to present our forwards with a decent ball. Baines spent most of his possession passing backwards, Williams just wanted to give it to anyone no matter what colour shirt they were wearing, Snides and Gana did what defensive midfielders do until Snides let the guy score the goal and we are getting zero ‘production’ from our midfield players who seem to freeze in front of goal. Dire stuff......

Only positive I can take from that is that we were decent for the first 20 mins
We were but it then went the way many of our games have gone recently. We suffer a setback in the match then heads go down and all the stuff that was working is abandoned. I'm on the train home after the match with loads of blues and it is like a morgue in here. I hate suggesting we should ditch a manager this early in a season but the atmosphere at the ground, the attitude of the players and the seeming lack of a plan or formation makes me seriously wonder how RonKo can turn this around. Maybe some new ideas might reinvigorate the players and spread some optimism into the stands. After today I know believe that we could get relegated. We are not too good to go down. Our players are a group of individuals with no cohesion or team spirit.

The thing for me that annoys me when we lose,is the way commentators etc take beating us AS A BENCH MARKER as TO HOW WELL the winning team are doing, teams are beating a crap PLAYING Everton team this season,so beating us is nothing special, only played well bits in 1st 20mis,go a goal down then get worst as ever as the game goes on,

We looked more dangerous going forward than we have all season for the first twenty minutes, the pace of DCL, Niasse and Vlasic saw to that. I thought those three did well in the first half.

After their goal we just seemed to continually pass backwards and every now and then hit wild shots from a distance that flew comfortably over the bar.

I can't understand why Lookman didn't get any playing time at all. Koeman seems to have a blindspot to what a lack of pace on the flanks is causing us. As I mentioned earlier in the post we looked better going forward early in the game, but the substitutions seemed to take pace out of our game.

I wasn't impressed with the attitudes of a lot of our players. They didn't seem to be particularly bothered. A real like of fire, which has surprised me as many of our current squad have been regular captain's for both club and country previously.

I can't see us sacking Koeman, certainly not anytime soon. But I also can't see him turning the current situation around. Depressing times.

There was a game plan, from where I was sat we were very good right up until they scored. Then the players immediately pissed their pants and reverted to backwards and sideways crab football. You could actually see their heads go down.

No one will run at people centre midfield just pass sideways and our defence are woeful. Took us about 20 passes to get to their 18 yard box and Burnley would get to us in 3.

For me that was the players today not the manager but he is certainly on borrowed time.
I’d also like to add to this that Vlasic looks a very good prospect and looked likeone of the only players who would fight for the shirt

We seem to have a side who are unable to beat a man and lack any sort of pace either at the front , the back , or wide.
