Who else do you want him to bring on? Our bench is garbage. The fact McNeil is starting games says it all about our squad depth.

We have hd games where we didn’t even have a full bench.

There is noone he hasn’t brought on today that would have made a bit of difference.

I gave it to Jimmy ,I wanted to give it to Tim after the stick he gets but Jimmy was fantastic and I think the best on the pitch .They never got out of first gear to be fair ,Jake had a brainfart and the ref had a bad game ,all this was needed to give us the result we all knew .
We are back to toothless and that just gives them more confidence .

The real problem is that we play in a way that doesn't suit either striker. Neither oof the are hold up target men. Yet we persist in trying to lump it up to them to win header 30 yards away from their nearest teammate. It's idiotic.

Both Barry and Beto would do better running of the shoulder to latch on through balls, but we don't play that way. We slow the play down, make sure the defense is set and then pass back to Pickford to boot it into the stands.

I know. I ve said this previously. We are far better when we play a fast counterattacking game.
Any forward would struggle with yesterday's service.

I’m not disputing that. If we were 1-0 up we’d have 10 men behind the ball. We were 1-0 down and looked like we were holding on for dear life.

I'm sure the usual suspects on here have had their little hissyfits but the reality is that we did alright for the most part last night. Lets be real, our team is miles of being anything close to the finished article, we have no proper front-man, and we're massively depleted as things stand. Yet, despite all that, the only reason we lost 1-0 via a pen to a team who sit top of the league at Christmas is because they got preferential treatment from the referee who didn't award us our own stonewall pen. I saw a lot to be positive about last night even if the result was disappointing.
