185 games no teenagers.

Absolutely insane that when you look at other managers.
In those years, how many of them were subsequently offered a chance by the next manager (at WHU) after he left and are still playing PL football?

Also, how many players 22 and under has he started? He’s started 5 x this season that I can think of but interested in how many others in last 5 years.

There aren’t many Everton teenagers anywhere near the first team who you could say he doesn’t give a chance to.

Ahh. Sorry yeah.

But they haven't been playing like champions for weeks. We didn't exploit that in any way. It was a pathetic performance and Arsenal will know they had a stroll today when they were expecting a battle.

We haven't got a quality squad, we have a pretty good 9, take KDH and Illy out of that and it's a bloody massive hit..

Tonight was a painful watch, but look at the above.

Wake up Dave, grab a hanky and stop your dribbling..

Not sure what Jake was thinking tbh. Very poor from him.

That said we should have had a pen too.

I’m not one for conspiracies but we didn’t get much out of the officials tonight.

Arsenal were operating at a different level to us at times. If they ever get rid of Arteta, I’d love to see he brand of football at the hill Dicko

I think its more the case of being in charge of transfers, using money to sign high potential teenagers and then not starting them.

Also, look at Armstrong. If hes recalled then his development will be at risk.

But he won’t be here after next year. If the ‘committee’ identifies a player with talent then he may well support them as a club signing but may not necessarily think they are ready. We had to buy squad men this summer. I’d put Aznou in the category of low risk potential for the future.
Dibling is a different case, but as I said earlier, is he doing everything possible to earn the chance? Seems Moyes has suggested not previously. He will start games this season but I’m more bothered about the next 2-3 years as he clearly isn’t ready yet.

It was terrible freezing to death watching that crap. Ok we were playing one of the best teams in the league, but there was no glimmer of hope unless Arsenal obliged with an own goal. We were awful and they should have scored 2 more. If ever the phrase down to the barebones applied this was certainly it. The owners have to cough up to get a number of decent players in via the transfer market, or Moyes and us are in for a seriously grim 6 weeks or so.

As I just wrote in the Moyes thread, Iroegbunam, Alcaraz and Dibling need to be told theyre starting for the next month and to enjoy themselves and play to win.

Then lets see how they are when not walking on eggshells in fear of being dropped no matter what they do.
