….often think we underestimate ourselves (me included). Very few ‘gimme’ games in this league, not least against Everton. Whilst I agree an Arsenal victory is the most likely outcome, they were fortunate to beat Wolves at the weekend and I have no doubt they’ll see this as a difficult game.
Worse Everton teams have beat better teams than Arsenal. Our fans need to grow some back bone.

Can see another Newcastle happening with their set pieces.
Yup, Spurs showed the way, was gutted watching it.

But Moyes overall I think delivering what we'd reasonably 'hope' for... Chasing (not necessarily in) Europe.

Challenges:

- Summer business not great (yet...)
- Afcon
- JB injured and no real threat from full backs ( but JOB's been great filling in )
- wasted points in start to season

+'s

KDH showing some form
Barry broke his duck
Charly / Dibling will get more game time, and others are gonna have to man up:

No reason myko shouldn't try and ping in a few more balls and not leave Jack out wide getting double marked

Dibling, smash balls in for Barry
Garner progressing nicely in front of the back four, and has a goal in him

Rohl, get out there lad.

Moyes can be a contrary s0d. The whole man utd response was a classic, but it can work. he called out a very simple, powerful tactic taking over from Dyche. More players around the striker. An expectation for all players to be able to get on the sheet.

He means that.. everyone from unsy, Jags, Lescott, even yobo, had a goal in them. I was so proud of those guys and the threat we created on buttons financially compared to clubs around us.

And it's Arsenal. A few weeks ago they were cruising to the title. They might not even be top after the weekend.

Tricky game obvs. Don't concede early blues, then get up there and test them out.

If Grealish doesn’t make it, it will be

Pickford
O’Brien Tarkowski Keane Myko
Ireogbunam Garner
Dibling Alcaraz McNeil
Barry

Grim… the bench will be a laugh too
Interesting.

I was trying to weigh up if this team, was actually stronger (beat Arsenal 6 Dec, before wheels came off - again - and Lamps saved us)

Subs that came on were Holgate, Gomez and Iwobi.

Genuinely going into the game a nervous wreck.

City will be top by time we kick off.

On a positive note, genuinely can't wait to experience the new stadium, it looks brilliant.
I expect plenty of empty seats by the end.
I’d fancy our chances against a full strength team, but with KDH, Ndiaye and Grealish all missing, there is no out ball and no one to carry us up the pitch so it’s gonna be a park the bus job, only one outcome for that.

….just watched a lovely clip of Grealish visiting a young Evertonian in his school classroom. The youngster has had a difficult few years.

Anyway, Grealish invited him to be mascot against Arsenal and walk out onto the pitch with him. Suggests to me that Grealish is playing.
If Moyes'ey reads this he'll be thinking "hmm so the cocky git thinks he's playing does he "
