….just watched a lovely clip of Grealish visiting a young Evertonian in his school classroom. The youngster has had a difficult few years.

Anyway, Grealish invited him to be mascot against Arsenal and walk out onto the pitch with him. Suggests to me that Grealish is playing.
Its on the Grealish thread.
If you watched it all he asks the kid did he see his goal last night.
Recorded after the Bournemouth game

According to the crap Echo (from what I can read between adverts) is that both teams will be badly hit by injury. Their squad is far superior to ours in quality, so I expect zilch from this game. Very late night again and probably freezing with it.

Sadly, I have already written this one off tbh. I am looking forward to the better run of games after this one. Rest anyone carrying a knock for that run imo. These are light years ahead of us and we already cant even field our strongest team due to injuries and a mickey mouse tournament..

….often think we underestimate ourselves (me included). Very few ‘gimme’ games in this league, not least against Everton. Whilst I agree an Arsenal victory is the most likely outcome, they were fortunate to beat Wolves at the weekend and I have no doubt they’ll see this as a difficult game.

I think writing off any game is such a small club mentality. If we don't give it everything we've got to beat top of the league under the lights the Saturday before Christmas then we might as well pack it in.

They're obviously starting to get a bit jittery. It'll be very disappointing if they come and play us off the park. As I said earlier, Newcastle and Spurs have already done us over at home. That shouldn't be something that happens on a regular basis if we want to get towards Europe.

Fair enough if we lose on Saturday but we all know there's ways to go about it.

I don't want to write it off mate. I just don't think we have got any chance whatsoever. Even if we had Dewsbury, Ndiaye and Gana it would be a struggle. Its not impossible but very unlikely. I would be delighted if we even managed a draw but i think it will be about 4 nil to Arsenal. I am more interested in the run of games that comes after though as there is a real chance of getting a decent run together.

Last 3 seasons have been 1.1 , 0.1 and 1.0 . We started last year with Patterson, Tim, Harrison and Doucoure.
They are favourites but no way should we be expecting a hammering here .

Been watching football long enough to know nothing's won on paper. Could easily beat Arsenal and then lose what seems like more winnable games. I actually back us regardless of who's missing on Saturday to give this a real go. To do anything else would go against the progress we've made in the last 12 months.

I hope you are right guys. I just don't have much confidence in our current squad when we are missing multiple key players as we have no depth at all. Arsenal are really good regardless of injuries.
