What on earth is our bench going to look like.

I think all the benches pretty much look similar to this one, mate ;)

Scary looking lineup, this could end up being a total 'low block' approach.
And with Garner/McNeill on set pieces.
Possibly down to having to beat them at there own game.
Might need to be the flex. Arsenal don't fare well vs low blocks. That said, lows often lead to conceding more corners and we all know what that means.

grim reading without grealish, ndiaye and kdh, as getting used to us keeping hold of the football and lookign dangerous when we attack.

nonetheless i'll be o nthe ale from about 2 so im sure i'll be in good spirits whatever side we put out

2-1 everton

Listen, if people are injured, this isnt the match to risk them on. Just let them have a week off to be healthy, and chalk this one off. Give some fringe squad players a chance to run around and take a chance. Whats important to us are the next 8 league games. All but 1 winnable.

"Gabriel is not out on the training pitch. There are reports that he is targeting a return two weeks from today, that's that crucial game against Aston Villa at the Emirates.

"Also not out there is Ben White, another injury for him. He's got another hamstring problem, picked up in the win over Wolves. He had a scan on Sunday and the estimate is for him to be missing for roughly a month.

"The better news is that William Saliba is training, he did complete 90 minutes against Wolves and he's training again today. So some defenders back in, and some still out. Christian Mosquera will be out until next month.

"I can't see Martin Zubimendi in training - he isn't injured as far as we know but has played a lot of minutes recently. Potentially he could be inside in the gym or doing his own work. The rest are there with Mikel Arteta but still no Kai Havertz.

"Arteta has got three or four days on the training pitch this week to work out why his team weren't really at the races against Wolves. They got a late, late win - a hard fought, lucky win.

"In a different season that would have been three points they may have sacrificed. So Arteta will be pleased in a way but the performance included "horrible defensive habits", according to him, so he'll be hoping to put that right."

Their defense will be a patchwork of not fully fit players and potentially players in the wrong position. I'd take an ugly ground out win.
