Almost like there's one rule for the elite and one for the plebs isn't it?

The whole thing is riddled with inconsistencies. Being generous, a lot of folk have made a big effort to get some sort of football going. Not sure they would have tried quite so hard if £750m wasnt at stake mind.

Was it just me or were our short goal kick build from the back tactics too nerve-wracking to watch!?

Was just waiting for Keane to pass it straight to the opposition, 6 yards from our goal mouth, which he nearly did on one occasion (although thought he was solid and commanding otherwise).

Understand the tactic of retaining possession but seems very risky.

Especially against a team whose game is all about pressing.

Three small observations on the game.....

Was expecting a drubbing to be honest, so pleased with the point - although really should have been three!
How in God’s name was that a booking for Digne ?
How did KKKenny justify getting in there under the current restrictions face mask or no face mask?

My problem with the tactic is that it is HUGE risk for very little reward.

If we succeeded in beating their first press the ball then just went to the left / right back, who hoofed it up the pitch, something Pickford could have done immediately without any risk!

I understand the theory to keep the ball on the floor and try to play from the back but if we're just gonna launch the ball forward under pressure anyway I dont see the point in it

Im assuming the passing out from the back was used hoping to tire them out, which I suppose kinda worked but was risky. Another reason may be it’s a tactic Carlo wants to adopt, and see’s these games where there likely will be a bit less pressing intensity due to the break and fitness as a chance to test it out and get the players up to speed with it

I was hoping to see Pickford launch his clearances into their half every time yesterday. Reason being, to bypass their front-line and midfield press and get at their back four straight away. Playing out from the back only plays to their strengths of pressing. Over the whole game yesterday, our back four held up better than theirs - only a great save and seconds later the thickness of a post saved them. Pickford's goal wasn't threatened to the same degree as that.

It wasn't much of a game but I wasn't as nervous as usual. Turned the computer on before I watched the recording and there was a box in the corner with a
message from GOT. Everton 0 Liverpool 0. Thanks.

That makes nine home draws against these since we beat them.

Sorry mate. We wont update the website in future with the final score until we hear it's OK to do so from Jeff Jones...

I think its done with the aim of pulling them closer in, to create more space availible for a direct pass forward.
Reds did it alot last season or the season before i think.
Its not necesarily a 'build it out, to play a super flowing move' more taking advantage of spaces, further up the pitch

Anyone else laugh when Tyler said Klipperty looked a little subdued without a crowd to play to.

Don't often agree with Tyler but Klopp's that blatant in his pantomime act that the tourists lap up time and time again, even Sky have noticed.
It won’t stop them going into a fap fest When they finally win it though! Klopp won’t be off the telly for six months straight!
