I see it as a good thing, I thank Rathbone for his contributions to the club, but for me there has been a big question mark over his ability this year. He failed to recognise the severity of the injuries to both Fellaini and Gosling, and as a whole our players seem to take inordinate amounts of time to come back from injury. I'm sure it's not all his fault, but I also refuse to believe it's all "just bad luck". I think a top medic would be a wise investment for us.

These type of appointments/dismissals produce the most bizarre conspiracy theories. Who rememers the Irvine/Round controversy? And when everyone posting on the forum became an expert in orthopaedic medicine!! Madre de dios that was amusing.

Rathbone's been at the club 8 years. The prehabilitation dude and his whale music fitness programme has been here 2 years...coinciding with the injury curse.

It's not hard to figure out.

I suspect - this is only an educated guess - that Moyes is going to go for a "Big fish" full Specialist to be head of Everton's Sports Medicine department.

i.e. professor level.

Also think they'll bring in another physio (direct replacement)

But that this is a fundamental shake up of the department.

Everton have the finances now to do it which they didn't in 2002 when Moyes arrived.

We also have the facilities to do it now too at Finch Farm (and space)

BINGO.

A fully organised sports medicine department headed by a specialist surgeon.

Plus I also think Baz was getting close to retirement age anyway and there's been a significant number of advances in sports medicine over the last 20 years (even in the last 5 years!).

That mean we can/should probably get a top specialist in (especially with better finances at the club compared to the 1990's)

I like medics, Im going for a check up soon. My doctor is sound and loves me now I've quit smoking.

There's this mole I've been watching on my belly that I want him to sort out, the hank.
