i've grown up surrounded by them, r/s, citeh, bolton, wigan (although not in my formative years). i was an apprentice in salford, went to college there from 85-90. at that time they were touted as gonna win everything every year....redhot championship favs every season, dragged on every year with them failing again. i like to tell all the r/s around me that they are the utd of those days and they "have become the kind of man they always hated" James- how was it for you.

Anyone who hates United are anti-football. Forget Arsenal and their mind-numbing 'to me, to you' boring [Poor language removed], Man U are the most exciting football club this country has ever seen. Of course, that's easier if you have a global corporation's worth of finance behind you, but the philosophy is the right one and they have never devaited from it. Hats off to them, I wished it was us.

Not liking there football and not liking them as a club are 2 completely different things.

Cant have Dave k , by the way . I remember Utd when they were shabite and they were just as bitchy , chip-on-me-shoulder knobs as the RS . Fact . Now , theres a generation that know nothing else , and well , look , or rather listen to them now . Hope to jeepers we dont get them , but if we do ... Honour and Fortitude , and see what happens after that .
Come on the 'ton !!

People who hate United with a passion

A- nyone
B - ut
U - nited

Typically

Liverpool supporters , City supporters, Bolton Supporters,

Over 40s Chavs from the midlands jammed into tight replica football shirts

Its your stance mate and I respect it

A question for you why do you hate United ?

Intelligent debate recipricated

I went to grammar school in Urmston and got duffed up regularly by Man U fans 'cos Everton were the best football team in England back then - espec when Joe Royle knocked you out of the cup with his knee (was it '68? 69?).

Now, I learned to love certain aspects of your game - Giggs is an inspirational player, for example. Can't warm to Ronaldo, though. Scholes at his best is unstoppable.

But I do dislike heartily the idea that Utd somehow 'own' the game. SAF seems to think that he has rights that supercede everyone elses. Threatening to send an observer to watch the draw for a cup competition. Accosting refs as if they owe him an explanantion for everything. refusing to speak to the nations broadcaster - sorry Neville but he evidently thinks that he's more important than the beautiful game.

I hate that fact that Utd can have whom they want - if they offer enough. Liverpool discover Gerrard and win the Champs League. We unearth Rooney and er....

I'm over Shrek now, of course, because DM is building something special here at the Old Lady.

And you know what? I think that the Premiership title is more likely to come to Merseyside with blue ribbons on it long before liverpool win it.

Well once again Chelsea gets an easy draw. They get a free pass to the finals every year. Who's next the LA Galaxy?? Blackburn will probably their win tie vs. Coventry and Fat Sam will probably field his C team against Chelsea.

I get the feeling that we are going to have to beat Man Utd and Chelsea to get to the final. We can beat Chelsea but Utd, I don't know well have to hope that they are tired.

I hope it happens Nev. Would be great to have knocked out 2 top teams and then beat the 2009 Prem champs in the final.

I also hope that Gary Neville plays, so Pip has the bragging rights.

It would'nt be the first time. 1995 we beat Newcastle United in the quarter final, Tottenham Hotspur in the semi's and Manchester United in the final. the Geordies and North London outfits may be faltering now, but at the time was up there with the best of them including Man United obviously.

I hate United because of the amount of glory hunting fans they have, you could never accuse Everton fans of being glory hunters, Everton fans choose to support Everton for different reasons, we are chosen, we do not choose.

I also hate them because in the 25 years in which you won **** all, you where still regarded as the best club, mainly by the media, but still it got on my ******* nerves.

Also when i used to first go the games in the early 80s, the amount of [Poor language removed] that we used to get pelted with was a disgrace, some fella standing next to me got hit with a golf ball with nails in it once. It leaves its mark on a young lad.

I got over it a little, the football you used to play back in the Beckham days was a joy to watch, Beckham, Giggs, Yorke, Cole, Keane. I enjoy good football and you couldnt get much better than that. Now im in between, i neither hate you or like you. Clearly given the choice on winning major honours i would pick Utd over Livershit, but i would pick Chelsea over Utd.

I like United. Perhaps if I'd started supporting football after it was invented by Sky, I'd be of a different mind. But I came to the game in the early 70s when United where not the club we see today. I remember their fans being like Everton fans, starved of success even though it was a BIG club. I even remember their stint in the old second division. Their fans weren't glory hunters then, just normal people like us.

Plus, if Everton suddenly become ever so successful, then we'll attract the glory hunters. It happened for a time back in the mid-80s. Suddenly Everton became the new Liverpool. Are you saying that when we become a great force again that you'll hate us? Because if not, then you shouldn't apply the same logic to United. They've got plenty of fans that love the club, with all its history. These guys deserve our respect (apart from on match days).

Lid!

Neville you ask that question like your suprised . You dont honestly think we like you do you ?.....do you ?

Mate were you about in the eighties ? Memory is heartfelt human gift . Getting ****ted for next to nothing on repeated visits to OT & Maine Rd tends to leave a bitter taste in ones mouth .

I got battered a few of times in Manchester and Birmingham and Leeds and London. It wasn't Neville's fault (at least I hope not, Nev?).

How many lads from those cities have had a kicking in Liverpool?

Mate, if you really were around the '80s, then surely you've found out that you can't tar everyone with same brush?

Time to adopt a political tone . Ahem ....I cannot speak for individual cases only my own . I know full well that Everton were as bad as anyone in the 70s & 80s but I wasnt part of that and never went looking for it . Myself and many like me were targeted simply because of the team we travelled to Manchester to watch . When you have seen your friends cut up by so called Reds one tends to remember these things and the motives behind them .

Of course I do not blame Neville . What a strange thing to suggest . I couldnt careless if you agree or not . I know that football or indeed real life is not black and white . You need to realise that alot of people dislike Manchester United for varying reasons some of which you will find hard to understand .

If we met the Mancs, it would kick off big time. Everyone will be ******* hammered by at least 3 hours before the kick off.

Oh, and as for Rooney, i could see someone running on and ****ting him if he starts giving it again. I'll coin the c unt, no probs.

Wayne Rooney is a classless cnut . I know for a fact that he has personal security with him alot of the time when he is out and about . When he comes bk to Liverpool for a night out he is cordoned off . Its this wrapping in cotton wool that has formed the way in which he acts when he is on the pitch .

How someone hasnt snotted him on the street ill never know . What blue worth his salt wouldnt do it should he get the chance ?

Okay, is that because I'm really thick and I can't understand some kind of bizarre subtle reasoning you have to dislike Manchester United?

Well 1st i hate every other side that arent Everton, so dont take it personally but if you would like a list of particular dislikes about United then:

1) AF - Arrogant and very rarely gives praise out to opposition unless there is a motive behind it
2) 85 cup final, still havent got over it
3) Gary Neville, being a scouser, i have particular problems with anyone ****ging my home city off
4) Pip Neville, lumping us with this fella. Although to be fair he is playing better alongside Arteta but still not good enough

Last and not least, a particular ex scouser who plays for you, a 'person' (i am being kind) who if i seen on the street i would purposely cross over and knock seven bells out of him.
Apart from that mate, with United out we have more chance of winning.

Fair enough Mate thanks for answering my question
