McBain

Player Valuation: £80m
we played badly for large periods today...

we could have won it with a couple of chances at the end eh? Cahill coming on instead of Baxter?

Any way just wanted to be positive in the face of undulating despair.

Yup, as soon as cahill is back we will be scoring those winning goals, instead of conceding them...

...Also i think Yakubus chance was much better than Baxters...

yeah there are a fair few positives to take from the game, Both Rodwell and Baxer didn't look out of place. But it doesn't change the fact that this summer has been a shocker. hope it turns around before the end of the window, as i would hate to see these kids ruined. In saying all that we all need to just get behind the guys we have, or more and more negitive press will be comming our way. People on toffeweb are already talking about Arteta leaving in January, or before. If the players keep getting booed from goodison, we may even force it to happen.

what a cross from jags with his left foot! sweet!

it's going to be poisonous round here unless we sign some decent footy players next week.

Its really turned that way hasnt it.

I cant get through 50% of the posts nowadays, they are just filled with utter [Poor language removed] from those who should know better.

Its a game, a peice of entertaiment bringing skill to an otherwise ordinary life. im sure during the course of the clubs life its seen worse times eh?

Everton we stand Liverpool we fall.

It's a bit more than that mate. That's why meltdown occurs.

Hello folks i'm new to the forum and it's my first post.

From the moment last season finished I genuinly thought, like most other blues that new players would be brought in throughout the summer to add and improve what we already had. I thought we were back on the crest of a wave again. That it would be a matter of time before we'd catch Liverpool and take a Champions League place. But, again like most other blues, my hopes and dreams of seeing that happen have all but evaporated in front of our eyes after just one game. Yes just one game. How anyone believes we can sustain a challenge with a load of kids is beyond me.

The off-field problems have been there all summer, Wyness suddenly [Poor language removed] off, Kirkby getting called in, Moyes stalling over his contract, Blue Bill pretty much putting the club up for sale, no new players brought in etc. This whole situation from top to bottom needs sorting out fast or we're in for a very big fall IMO. The warning signs are there for all to see so Moyes and Kenwright better get a [Poor language removed] move on and get these players in pronto!!

Kirkby getting called and Wyness jumping ship were the only bright moments in the summer as far as Everton are concerned. I think it's clear now that Moyes' team building has been stopped in its tracks and that his era as manager is over...though he'll probably see out his contract. I cant see him trusting this board again and painstakingly building up a squad for the second time in the hope he'll be rewarded.

we could have scored a couple more, but we didnt deserve to - we were a shambles, blackburn should have scored more - and deserved to, notably santa cruz's free headers, we deserved to lose, this game cannot be turned into a positive, an utter farce throughout the team

Id really like to hear you say that within earshot of the players. A better center midfield pulling the strings and were back to gravy.

Gday mate, theres a queue for this kind of post.

Its made out to be more than that.

For me its getting on with my life and supporting the team.

Ill bet you the stormtroopers for the Galactic Empire thought they were on the right side.

My point: Get behind the team or go join the rebel alliance.

thats the thing though, vader and the emperor often mentioned 'the dark side', so does that mean the stormtroopers didnt have ears?

would this better centre midfield stop howard and co from hoofing up aimlessly?

would this better centre midfield add width and give us wingers who will attack a player and take him on?

would a better centre midfield stop moyes playing neville?
