And never would they ever perceived to be a big enough club to be part of this proposed circus.

Best way for FIFA to stamp this out would be to not sanction it and ban all the players from future participation in any FIFA sanctioned competition. Not enough players could be fully assured of staying with the clubs in that league for their entire career. I don't think the risk would be worth it for the middling players, say someone like Fabian Delph, for them to have full squads if this were done.Ban their players from being included in the national teams, ban them from all domestic competitions, when it goes bust make them start in non-league.
3 years before its abandoned, tops.

Threaten to do that now, and it won't even get started.Ban their players from being included in the national teams, ban them from all domestic competitions, when it goes bust make them start in non-league.

Normally yes, but I think in this whole mess they actually might have an interest in preventing the disintegration of the current European League structure. The reason being a super league that allows some nations to have teams playing at a level above all the others creates a potential major lack of balance at international level. Or even worse the best players are no longer allowed to play internationally by their clubs. Either way the FIFA cash cow that is the World Cup could be in jeopardy. So are FIFA acting for the right reasons? Of course not. But at the moment they would lose too if UEFA does this.lol
They are the cancer at the centre of it all.
To be fair, Sky kind of are. The RS were on TV for like 36 matches last year. They are almost ALWAYS on for some idiotic reason.Dammit, they are very slightly smarter that I had anticipated.
Still delusional though: "Sky are paying billions for basically us and Man Utd to be on the telly. "
Wednesday and Spurs wouldn't be able to attract petrol dollars like those 2 plastic clubs have when they were nothing clubs, they got elevated by petro dollars and buying trophies, you really think some rich arab state or a Russian Oligarch would by a PL club post Super League? You say Sheffield Wednesday vs Spurs wouldn't get worldwide coverage but I bet 15 years ago you would have said the same for Man City vs Chelsea.
Utd, your lot and Arsenal aside, the other 3 of the top 6 have only come to prominence in the recent decade and should the top 5 leave (God I hope so) a power vacuum opens for clubs like Spurs, Everton, West Ham, Newcastle, Leeds, Aston Villa, Sheffield Clubs etc. to grow.
It will never happen sadly anyway just a way to bargain for even more £££

Billionaire investment from rich benefactors would go to the clubs in the Super league.
It's happening whatever we say and it seems to coincide when the tv deals in England and Germany ending in 2021ish,the sky 6 had meetings in London last year that was reported with the Relevent sports guys in a London hotel over 2 days, emails leaked by Der Speigel yesterday showing City's CEO emailing other clubs that they have to have the meetings done more private so UEFA don't know they are happening, Bayern taking legal advice on how to leave the Bundesliga.
To much smoke without fire going on, These clubs want a closed shop league like the NBA/NFL/MLB with individual massive tv/streaming deals and leaving Fifa/Uefa in the dust.

Your forgetting all of the billionaire owners would leave aswell
But this was always on the cards over the last 15 years the quality of football is better in the cl then the world cup.
Also the friendlies in the ICC pre season shows there's a massive fan base for this type of European league all over the world.
Having the likes of united v Barca on a weekend would be massive.
The pl would be renamed and lose most of its oversees revenue.
Agreed this is how I see it. I think as an Everton fan it would drive me away from football.
I totally get people are disheartened with the current model where it's hard for other teams to brake into the top 6. I feel though this is just another step blocking us from competing.
Reaching for change of skids just looking at that fearsome posseCareful what you say there - you'll have these knocking on your door.
