European super league and impact on Everton.

Not for me.

For as long as we have an owner that's got less money than the majority shareholder of Stoke then we'll never break into the top 6, but for some inexplicable reason I'd rather we were a crap team in the top division of English football than a good team in the second tier of English football.

Nowt inexplicable about it.

It is just commonsense.

The difference is, this really is the only difference. They have an ambitious owner, but not only is he ambitious he's clinical, he's a businessman and he runs Spurs better than any club in the country.

City and all that have the money, but Spurs are fantastically well ran, you have to give it to him.

Christ i remember a game in November 1997, where spurs beat us at Goodison, and they overtook us in the table, and we went bottom and they went 19th. lol

Football is a funny old game.

Ten years ago they were rock bittom in October and sacked their manager.

Might have been Martin Jol or the Latin fellow (not AVB) and they fetched in Arry.

Juande Ramos. Tottenham's worst ever manager and still managed to win a jar.

I know this may sound silly but I wouldn't mind if this happens.

Its clear by now unless we hit the oil sugar daddy lottery we will never be able to compete with the top 4/6.

The CL pretty much guarantees this.

So I say let them bugger off. I would prefer to watch us compete for trophies again rather than be best of the rest.

Thoughts?

I actually asked this question on here a few years ago and got the same response as you. My thinking was that we get rid of plastic teams, fans and media to the euro super league and have the remaining "proper" football clubs and fans to battle it out on an even(ish) playing field. That's how it would be marketed, real fans watching real football.

Anyway, it got shot down quicker than flight MH17 and, for good reason, I realise that it would literally be waving the flag of surrender and losing every ounce of our great history without a fight.

A good lesson learned, boi...;)

I couldn't care a bit what you think. As I said the mods can check. Frankly this is getting to be unacceptable behaviour by a few posters and appropriate steps should be taken.

Says the man who has had at least 4 accounts permabanned.

Lets hope they take the appropriate steps.

Problem is if it happens and we're left in the dross league and we carried on our continued spending with a drop in TV revenue we'd go bust very quickly.
