No "super league" would ever work anyway. The likes of Man Utd and Chelsea actually want to win stuff and they know that wouldn't happen if they were in a league with Barcelona, Real Madrid, B Munich and such. They'd more then likely be the basement teams. Nah, they'd rather keep the champions league going and get the silly money from that bloated competition while keeping the domestic leagues. They'd have less games in a European super league for TV and "big games" would become less special quickly.

No but really, it would be terrible, thankfully I cant ever seeing it happening, the Premier League clubs wont wanna share their TV deal with the rest, not a chance.

Anyway, the eagle eyed amongst us will notice that, by pure coincidence, Adversus got banned over at TEF a mere two days before @LiamG ( Liam, a good Irish name if ever there was one ) registered on GOT.

Anyway, I digress, I hope there's never a European Super League, at least not in my lifetime, because it would diminish any success we might have. Also, there's a fair chance that, unless we were in it, it'd blow a hole in the financial plans for the club, because Sky wouldn't be ( relatively ) paying so much cash for what'd effectively be second rate English Football, which could make paying for a new stadium a bit of a bugger.

But yea, that Adversus lad was a bit of a mammary.

It'll never happen. The only way it would is via a franchise and nothing actually to do with the proper teams.

There is no way they would give up PL status, where would they go if it failed. PL have already said if you go you stay gone.

I actually agree with this. Now apply the same logic to our situation. Even derbies arent special now. Most of us just want them over.
