I'd be happy with another Europa campaign.

It's realistically as good as it gets for a club in Everton's position.

Why can't we realistically win the Europa League ? I don't understand this. On our day we are as good as anyone in that competition

Entirely agree. Surely the experience of palying in Europe is worth something.

We lost out this year but I honestly think we are two or three good signings away from being a decent team. Imagine a good keeper, a goalscorer at no.10 and a more dominant central midfielder! It can be done.

Our current squad proved it this season that we can go toe to toe with decent european clubs. Didn't quite work out well in the end but all season we had been playing with well below average confidence.

I honestly see no reason at all why we can't win The Europa League ( a cup competition )

Because when the tough questions were asked we weren't good enough, that's why. Kiev weren't all that yet they battered us. Big improvement required if we are to have a realistic chance of winning it.

We were able to beat them at home.

The touch questions being asked coincided with a shambolic defensive display involving Alcaraz. Stones returned for the next game after Kiev, stayed in the team, and we conceded just 2 goals in the next 5 games.

Personally I don't want us in the Europa League next season. I feel we would be better off getting our transfer dealings done early, reflect on what happen this season and be willing adjust the tactics/game approach etc. accordingly, bring our fitness levels up and get a competitive pre-season under our belts. Then hit the ground running in the 2015/16 season; ironing out all our kinks, then face a European campaign the following season fitter and more confident to cope with the extra demands that it offers.

In reality I see us having a similar season to the one we just had, leaving a lot of disgruntled fans asking 'so how long do we give this clown before we sack him'.

Ace for Goodison nights and foreign beer ups, but unless you get to at least the semis and the final...

Swerve it big time

Surely is a good thing.
If we want to progress as a team we need to get used to playing two times a week + the travel involved in Europe + as such learning to maintain performance levels in both competitions.
This is part of the journey, if we want to get there and perform we need to develop the team mentality to go with that, and that only comes from playing in Europe on a consistent basis.
+ money and opportunities to give young fringe players gametime.

here is a thought for anyone who wants to focus on the league only.

What if this season wasn't a blip and we do terrible next year? Wouldn't a winning run in europe take some of that away like this season?

Also how do you get used to playing twice a week unless you start playing twice a week?!

The way Barry went around with misplaced passes it looks like he does not like travelling around europe TEN cards this season lucky not to see red yesterday!

Doesn't seem to be a problem for Sevilla so why it should be a problem for any other team is beyond me. We would still have been [Poor language removed] this season regardless. Using the EL as n excuse for being [Poor language removed] is pathetic IMO
