I mean, they wouldn’t be.

Wouldn’t be an issue if a fair number of the teams in it were of Lazio’s quality. The problem is that they are the exception and the majority of the teams in it are way below that level.

It's not the 1980s any more. The value of competitions isn't static. Look at the disregard shown to the League Cup and FA Cup now compared to 15 years ago.

Not by the big teams either. Only 3 teams outside the fabled 'big 6' have won it in the last 35 years, and one of them was us 26 years ago. It's a clueless take.
