Euro2020 Knock Out Rounds

We all know England V Italy IS the final we want and deserve but Danes my spoil the party. UEFA want it badly, they want to write that fairytale story, Eriksen going the final in civvies, camera zooming on him crying etc. All the best to him and speedy recovery but enough already..

Watching a final with a dodgy ticker is not good for anyone. It's Englands duty to prevent that from happening else Eriksen's implant restarter will be going on and off like he has his hand on an electric fence.

Shouldn't have laughed....but your right my friend

This forum has a long, proud tradition of absolute melt down when England exit a tournament. Respect our heritage and culture if you want to post here.
Only witnessed that one in 2018, was glorious, I was gutted to see Croatia making the final but meltdown bit made it up.

I doubt he would even want to go. If I‘d gone from playing in a global tournament to being treated like an invalid or tragic Martyr I don’t know if I’d enjoy watching the team I was supposed to playing with dancing around celebrating winning something that I had missed due to a sudden heart attack. I’d probably want them to lose the ba#tar#s!

Looking forward to reading the desperation but not going to respond today, not worth it.

To discuss the game in an adult manner I would say that in a qualifier or group game England would be good favourites (still not big favourites, as is with international tournaments), maybe 60/40, at most.

However, this is a semi final. I would say it is 50/50. Denmark are a very good team and riding an emotional wave. If the bigger England players come to the fore then I think England can win but it won't be easy, this England side know this and will hopefully be as focused as they possibly can be.

It will be nice to see Grealish or Foden come in for Phillips, and spring a more attacking surprise on Denmark but I don't think it will happen. If I was to go for the lineup against Germany or Ukraine, it has to be Ukraine for me. I have, however, given up criticising Southgate's decisions after the Germany game :)

I intend to do the complete opposite and go on a massive, childish vaulting spree.

They know who they are.

Actually a very realistic assessment of the England team. A lot of England fans would agree with that I think. Apart from the outcome which really could go either way IMO
Should go England's way with the home advantage they enjoy...again.

Think you need to look up ‘rages’ in the dictionary pal.

I won't find the definition for the slang usage in question there.

You are also raging in the above post I quoted, if we're going with that usage. The definition of that one in American English is "to go off about something". I believe that in the King's English, you change the verb and reverse the preposition. It becomes "to be on about something", which is weird to us Yanks but those of us on both sides of the pond have already realized that our respective versions of 'English' are about as mutually intelligible as Spanish and Portuguese.

For some reason, we're the Portuguese-speakers that generally understand you, but you're the Spanish-speakers that can't understand us unless we learn your lingo. I'm not really sure why that is.
