Hmm. IMO Sterling is the sort of player who the Italians will have in their back pocket all game

They dealt very well with Belgiums pace and width

Sterling is tough to defend against if he backs himself 1 v 1. Italy have a lack of pace in the centre of defence and England could exploit it.

Would not be surprised if its 1 nil either way with a set piece goal

Good win thought England deserved it on balance,
Denmark did well till the last third of normal time but ran out of steam.
It wasnt a pen as far as I could see but I dont care .
Think I will have to get a few down me to watch the final.

Anyway English teams from 2002-06 era would piss all over this one, but they could never catch a break, whereas this England is very lucky. I'm glad because most of the squad are good people.

Keane, Wright and Neville are far more watchable than Shearer, Jenas and whatever RS they can dig up.

Don’t really care about the negative comments, I’ve waited 25 years for this. 11 year old me was in tears in 96, 33 year old me was heartbroken 3 years ago. I’m close to tears here for the right reasons tonight, Sunday night I get to watch England play in an international tournament final. If we lose on Sunday, it’ll hurt but this England team have gave me something back over the last 3 years, the love of watching the Three Lions again

All credit to Denmark, they’ve been the surprise of the tournament, they could have completely folded after the events in Copenhagen but they showed incredible team unity getting this far, it just proved to be one game too far for them
