Again, not really comparing like for like but Ok, individually the EU countries will suffer less than the UK even though the EU using your 10% rule would suffer a £29 billion drop. But now I've got you talking cash and not percentages...the Eu exports £290 billion to the UK with a £70Bn surplus. When we leave, we will be the EU's largest export Market. Bigger than the USA, bigger than China AND Russia combined, now tell me why they won't do a deal........

I'm not sure where you get your data from, the EU (including UK) has exported goods and services to the value of €390 billion to the US and China alone Jan - Sep 2016. If you remove the UK that falls to around €330 billion for 9 months.

I was a remainer mate, but it looks like those predicting Armageddon if we voted to leave the EU look a tad foolish at this moment in time.

It is too early to see what way it will go. The price hikes just around the corner may make you change your mind. (n) Remember we are still in the EU at the moment and will be for some time and that is masking a lot of it.

But you are equating Brexit with a form of Fascism which is totally OTT.......

Not at all. Brexit is one domino, and if it was in isolation then it would probably be no big deal (relatively speaking), but I said at the time that Brexit may have an influence beyond our shores, and that has proved correct with Trump in America. Brexit + Trump will no doubt have an influence in the European elections in the coming year, and the odds have to have jumped that people like Wilders and Le Pen will win in Holland and France respectively, not to mention far right leaders in Austria and throughout the Visegrad.

That to me is incredibly worrying and you get an environment akin to a giant Stanford Prison Experiment whereby intolerance is rapidly acceptable throughout Europe, because frankly who is there going to stop it?

Price hikes I remember back in 1973 when we joined it was a missive hike in prices, my late mother who was so stringent with her purse strings noticed it within a month mainly on food two main complaints from her was no more cheap New Zealand lamb, and Australian butter!lol

Bruce no one ever voted the biggest German dictator in events unfolded for him to seek power, no vote needed I don't want to even mention his name!
Some people may not like Brexit or Trump but it was democratic at a ballot box?

Nazis did 'win' an election though didn't they - albeit not a total majority?

Could be wrong.
