There's that many countries in Europe drifting to the right that Brexit might seem a good move long term.

I'm joking of course.
The many layers of financial harm that it has done Europe wide (as well as uk) have meant further hardships for many already suffering, and where there is financial hardship there will always be a tinpot hitler waiting to scream and point the finger.

It's been 8 years since that chart was relevant, and he's saying it'll happen up to 15 years from now. At that point support for Remain in 2016 would have a majority for ages up to 67. I know that old people are a more reliable voting cohort, but the 68 year old+ retirees (arf) are going to have a hard time outvoting the working population, or what's left of them by that point.

Ultimately it will certainly happen, if only by small degrees at first to lay the groundwork before treaties are signed. The gaping wound inflicted on us all by the rum-soaked gammons isn't going to magically go away until we come to some sensible economic settlement with the whacking great trading bloc on our doorstep. It might take 15 years for a solid majority to realise that, it might be less.

Or maybe tomorrow’s younger voters will not be as gullible as those who voted and the thirty somethings will have learnt how to stand on their own two feet ….just a thought…..

The younger voters certainly wont believe garbage printed on a big red bus.

"We" grew up believing everything we saw, we read.

The younger generation are growing up being told to trust nothing.

Amazing the sort of rambling thoughts you manage to find at the bottom of your 5th pint glass Pete.

In this case though I'd agree, the younger voters aren't as gullible as you old duffers who got hoodwinked by Russian disinformation. Well admitted, big of you.

I don't think your vote causing the nation to crumble was necessary in order to teach 30-somethings anything, seems to me the 'right' thing to do is to want to support the country and make it better so the younger generations can thrive, but sadly the votes of those sad old bitter gammons who want to see Britain fail won out in 2016.

It'll be cathartic if enough of them stick around to see our re-accession to at least the SM/CU in a generation. Thousands of patriotic Brits lining the streets, tears of joy in their eyes as they wave little EU flags, welcoming the EU President as their motorcade makes it way up the Mall to watch Old King Wills bend the knee.

I think we will ease ourselves back in slowly. As the dust settles, then back in like we were never away. :)

Not so sure about that…. War or expansion ?……
No mate. We can protect ourselves. The EU as usual wants its cake and to eat it. Personally if Russia rolled over the borders and took over Europe I wouldn’t give a stuff. I’d rather become the 51st state than have anything to do with the self serving EU…….
War buddy, War. So how's that going for you?

We are not in the EU and you took that post when the EU suggested it would stop any arms supplies to the U.K. Let them stand on their own two feet…..
Hello mate, you're rambling now. Stop. Breathe. Think.

I know we're not in the EU. I'm more interested in your apparent deep seated hatred of the EU (albeit your post said EUROPE) to the extent you'd happily see Putin invade.

Bit strange, like.
