Maybe he's suggesting that foreign nationals convicted in a UK court should be sent back to their country of nationality to carry out their sentence.
There does appear to be a large number of foreign nationals in UK prisons.
So, like I said, people aren't to be viewed as equal in the eyes of the law? This is a pretty fundamental tenet of modern society you're asking to change.

So you advocate a system whereby people aren't equal in the eyes of the law?

Think of a country as a club where you have been given a guest pass as long as you abide by the rules. If you break the rules you will be shown the door.

If you are a member of the club, yes there are different rules.

I'm not sure any of this requires any of your outrage quite frankly, despite it being your soapbox.

But they are all arrested, tried and convicted and sentenced under the same law.
It's just where they are kept to carry out the sentence.

The irony of you using "merciful" in your account name. And, for the record, I'm not outraged, but that doesn't make right wing dog whistling any less pathetic.

There's a difficult line being thrashed out here, parallel to the sovereignty malaise. For instance lets say a famous british homosexual was found guilty of a crime to do with being gay out is saudi or some other gay hating place. It'd be a pretty hard faced uk government that promises to lock him up here for what ever crime. Lets look again, teresa scumbag may brought in a hostile environment policy that actively pursued and harassed perfectly legal with a right to be here british citizens and had them deported in the Windrush scandal. Now, with british law and order and the joke of a judicial system, it seems a bit rich commenting upon and critiquing less well off countries for the state of their laws, application thereof, police, judicial and restorative justice. There's scum galore in the uk police, who knows what filth there is similar in some places where the gestapo and the stasi are just about still in living memory.

Lining up to pick out undesirables is a very dangerous thing, besides that tastes change and one days hero is the next days boogieman, all of a sudden economic factors can start to creep into the equation, and suddenly we're on the cusp of another kristallnacht.
