You see this is where you lose it, “your deranged angry anti-immigrant writings”. I have no issue with legal immigration, never have and never will have. I’ve worked all over the world and loved dealing with everyone I’ve met. My children live and work across the globe and I have foreign daughters in law and grandchildren born, based and living all around the world. I get daily WhatsApp videos from Saudi Arabia, Philippines, Romania, and the USA, as well as the U.K. showing my grandkids growing up. So by all means have a go at my politics, but please don’t ever accuse me of being anti-immigrant……
DEM DAMN EASTERN EUROPEANS STEALING OUR JOBS AND MONIES though, based, grounded, redpilled.

Then address the rest then, you tolerant barsteward. x

Tbh I agree with you. What happened in the past was done by people who are no longer here. Would I invade someone else’s country, no, and I assume nor would you, but the Empire also brought some good to the world, Canada, Australia and New Zealand are modern countries although yes the indigenous folk suffered but are now doing ok. The Empire also brought peace to a quarter of the planet and lifted countries above their development stage. I’m not saying it was good or bad, but it was certainly better than the way other European countries did it…

Who else saw this image after reading this, especially the bit in bold.

Excellent.

“Imagine you’re at the supermarket…

Instead of scanning items at the checkout

The supermarket has imposed a new rule meaning every item code is keyed in

And every item stamped.

…then imagine the supermarket telling you the long queues have nothing to do with the new rule.”

TBF even saying Brexit is to blame is to miss the point - on the continent, governments there hired more customs / borders staff because they understood that extra work would need extra people to do it.

The fault isn't foreigners, it isn't Brexit, its the government and its policies. In fact if you wanted to go through nearly all arguments advanced as to why people voted for Brexit, you'll find that it was the government and its policies who actually caused it.

No argument and I know those running the port of dover asked for millions to fund more passport /customs officers on the French side was rejected .

The point , for me is the Brexit debate has reached the stage where those in political power , of both colours , are absolutely terrified to identify the root causes of the problems for fear of being labelled a remainer . What chance do we have of fixing anything if we can’t talk about what causes it , it’s like a doctor trying to treat an obese patient without being able to mention the word diet or someone with lung cancer and the word smoking being banned .
