It is horrendous. Absolute madness to have pulled out of the EU. Yes the Commission is a PITA in many ways, but the economic benefits more than outweigh the downsides.

That tea company owner summed it up.

"The EU is burocratic, but we were in it. Now we are outside it". A polite way of saying she would rather be on a train pissing out, rather than on the platform trying to piss in.

Some warned, but idiots dont listen.

The amount of northern voters who went for it is just amazing. Particularly where there are industries dependant on EU - turkeys and Christmas

The Welsh, the Cornish as well.

The Leave campaign was genius, in that every slogan was attractive, and could only be countered with, basically, "You dont know what you're doing". Not a great response, even if it was true.

We are seeing similar, far right/nationalistic stuff all around Europe as a result. And Trump, obvs.

Its a very powerful manipulation of the ignorant/naive.

The North of Ireland is flying economically - foot in both camps. But but but Jeffrey wants to put an end to all that!! What a genius!

The UK needs to make a decision really fast on it's long term economic direction. Either we're going the american route of low taxes and no public services or we're going to have to seriously hike taxes across the board and accept a reduced standard of living.

Or just keep kicking the can down the road and, as the man says, end up at the IMF eventually.

My bet would be option 3.

There's a very, very good film based on (mostly) truth with Benedict Cumberbatch as Dominic Cummings.

Very good watch imo.
