This is so random and internally in-cohesive it’s difficult to know where to start with it.

I’ll just point out the fact that you’re talking about me waving a “refugees welcome flag”, when the clip you posted, which I responded to, is talking about visa applicants - i.e not refugees - which kind of demonstrates your ignorance on the subject.

Also your claim about it “went up during Covid, it said in that video” is incorrect. See below for the numbers, where you can clearly see the drop off in visa decisions across routes in 2020, followed up an upturn in 2021, as Covid restrictions eased, and the pent up demand then filtered through. Maybe think about fact checking some of the stuff you see random people talking about on a YouTube or Twitch panel.

Fact checked.

As it was never seriously investigated (thanks to May's red lines) I don't fully remember, but the idea was discussed in the early post-referendum days. I think one stumbling block may have been putting an economy the size of the UK's in the EFTA, and Norway specifcally having a problem with that?

Nevertheless, like a lot of Brexiter opinion, Hannan's here takes the form of just unilaterally doing something and dimissing what any other affected parties might think about it.

Don't they know who we are, yes they do as queuing and Britain just would not be Great Britain without a queues.

Yet another Brexit benefit. What part of THE UK VOTED TO LEAVE THE EU AND IS NOW A THIRD COUNTRY does the Express not understand? I take it that august bastion of imperial media campaigned to leave?

Leaving the EU means using the lines at EU airports for Non EU citizens.

This probably wasn't mentioned by the Leave campaign.

I also take it that EU travellers meet the same security checks entering and leaving UK? While UK passport holders can use a different line.

However, the Common Travel Area agreement between UK and ROI allows for ease of travel by their citizens within both jurisdictions. This was reaffirmed in an agreement signed by both Governments in 2019, following the Brexit vote.

GOV.UK:

Under the CTA, British and Irish citizens can move freely and reside in either jurisdiction and enjoy associated rights and privileges, including the right to work, study and vote in certain elections, as well as to access social welfare benefits and health services.

Ah, the disingenuous or willful dismissal of the reality of being part of a bloc and / or forming partnerships. That there are trade offs and benefits. Leaving was presented as a glorious future of saving money and regaining control of this that and the other. Without recognizing the money we paid into the EU saved costs elsewhere (across society) in terms of bureaucracy for state, firms and individuals.

Mad how they kick off when the good bits aren't available. Or just blame the EU.

We should still get all the good bits without any of the costs because....reasons

Boo! Bad EU! Booooooooo!!!!!
