He was a direct opponent of Johnson in the leadership election, so was certainly a viable alternative to Johnson. Dominic Grieve was another capable MP before he was purged by Johnson in favour of sycophantic dolts like Dorries and Patel.

Grieve, did everything he could to undermine the U.K. referendum result, undermined his own political party and was purged by his local party for being a devious snake in the grass…….

He did everything to ensure that the rule of law was followed. Lest we forget, your hero demanded the Queen do something that was later shown to be illegal. That you regard the person who stood up for the law rather than the perennial law breaker as the snake in the grass. Your moral compass is not so much astray but smashed to bits on the floor.

Strangely enough I’ve asked this question many times in these threads. Until Chewbacca mentioned Jeremy Corbyn, and I give him credit for at least doing so, every person I’ve asked made some flimsy excuse, like you have just done, not to give an answer……
@peteblue - For arguments sake, just imagine that Corbyn had won the last election. That he had accepted large donations from Russian money, that his party chairman had an office in Moscow to advise oligarchs.

Shall we carry on - yes, lets. Imagine that Corbyn had personally, and repeatedly, visited a Russian oligarch whose father had been a KGB agent and friend of Putin. (Lebedev)

Can you imagine the wailing and gnashing of teeth from the Tories and national press ? But, as we all know, the person who did all this was your Lord and Saviour.....

Lebedev, who owns the 'independent' and part of the daily mail group?

If Corbyn had got in we’d still be laid up with Covid and the U.K. would have been sending munitions to Russia…But yes, I take your point…..

You have absolutely nothing to base this POV on and it is just fictional nonsense to deflect from what you already know.

I’d be embarrassed if I voted for Johnson as well. I see what’s happening here.

What's the basis for any of this?

Your favourite people in UK politics are in bed with actual Russians, and Corbyn would... send ammo to Russia? What?

Also what is your opinion on how the UK is doing eff all to help the people of Ukraine?
