They can't. It's because of the "thick" word. Any honest human that can read knows Brexit was 50% sold on lies and 50% sold to an unspoken minority of the UK population that simply hate foreigners/have an unhappy life.

Nobody will admit they are racist or in a dead end so the only other option is to admit they were duped which ain't going to happen.

In years to come social history textbooks will have a word for this Brexit/Trump/Boris cult appeal to uneducated whites.
