This is corking coming from the Express. So who knew that voting to leave the EU would mean you actually had to leave the EU.

Fellow returning expat Shaun Cromber voted Leave but said he did not believe Brexit would end his Spanish lifestyle.

He said: "Yes I voted out, but I didn’t realise it would come to this". lol

I wonder how she voted?

He had the perfect opportunity to finish her off when she went on that last rant. She mentioned that old chestnut "you are where you are born". Newsflash lady he said he was born in England.

Stupid old racist. She was so determined to be right her logic made zero sense.

How does he not lose it there I dunno. Imagine dealing with such myopic ignorance. ‘Not proper English’ ffs

Not always a huge fan of Lammy, but you have to admire the control, dignity and restraint he exercised there.

Calmly trying to get through to someone with reason and discussion, where you couldn’t really have blamed him for losing his rag and calling her a dumb auld bigot and getting rid.

Lammy put well yesterday towards end of his show no matter how offensive "jean" was, it's most likely very generational, it's also very likely the older lady was someones mother grandmother etc. We all have older relatives who say things we'd rather not hear at times.

And now more than ever was the time for polite educational debate and not to deride her and was disgusted at the stuff on social media attacking her.

If it been someone 60s and under reckon he would not be so kind in his take down.

It's been "generational" since the 1980.
NO amount of Covid or Cold Winters are decreasing their numbers unfortunately.

More an onset of paranoia caused by aging unfortunately. The same paranoia that means they vote Tory or UKIP to stop them "single mothers and foreigners" stealing their pension, their house and their "heritage" . Unfortunately as we have repeatedly seen over the last god knows how long it is the Tories blatantly doing all the stealing.

We love our world-beating universities though, right @peteblue?
