Cameron/Osbourne went to China with the begging bowl, to 'invite' China to invest £1 billion in Manchester due to Graphene. One of the strings attached was to slacken visa restrictions on Chinese people. Any trade deal will come with strings attached.
It is being muted that the UK has 'opportunities' if it leaves the EU. But what are these 'opportunities' and what are they going to sell to the EU and the rest of the world? There are not countries out there, waiting with open arms for British goods that are being stopped by the EU. And there certainly won't be money invested in creating new manufacturing opportunities, no matter how low the pond falls. As Graphene has demonstrated, not a penny of UK money has gone into this discovery. It has been financed by the EU and now China who will reap the economic benefits. Absolutely incredible.
The wounds over Europe in the Tory party will open and when they do it will get nasty, as it always does with them.
