I see the Mail has gone full on in its attempts to praise this today, comparing Johnson to Thatcher, all our Greatest PMs and Yorkshire businessmen.

That's an awful lot of bureaucracy to navigate to ensure we don't diverge too much.

Of course we previously would've had input into these decisions, but no longer...now we have this framework to tell us if we are compliant and potentially face penalties if not.

Let's not be too concerned with any of that. We couldn't talk about winners and losers before the deal, as we didn't know the outcome and 'shoyld wait and see'. But now we've got a deal, we shouldn't bother to look at any detail or impact.

All that matters now is that someone 'Won'.
