Its product depend and logistical dependent. Certain products maintain integrity under cold temperatures, certain products deteriorate.

There’s supply chains setup around the world, shipping lanes are determined and infrastructure is in place.

You can’t pick up the phone to Maersk and go “hey lad, we’ve left the EU, launch 5 more massive ships on your shipping route next month to the U.K.”
That's right I'm sure Maersk and the other shipping lines don't want to make money so they will refuse to give us container space on their ships. Wonder how all the stuff we buy from Asia gets here

Likewise but I respect your right to your opinion. Have a good Christmas. We could argue this point forever and never get anywhere
See the problem here is you are offering opinion and @nsno-chris quite clearly has professional knowledge of the process and the industry.

They aren't, as you are suggesting, equivalent.

You make a valid argument. All I was saying is that in the short term prices for foodstuffs may rise. But as time goes on it will level out. We already get lots from other countries like NZ, Chile, South Africa. We will prob get more which will be cheaper. It's just my opinion
We're destroying the planet with all this long distance freight.
