I wasn't that pushed on Joe tbh, but I'm all in now
Rightly so, Biden doesn't have much time for Johnson and his far right loonies. There had been warnings from the US anyway as a deal would have had to get through the House. Hardly a shock but brexit is going to spiral out of control pretty quickly unless we bend over for the EU.
At least now any deal with the USA will be coming from a Democratic run White House so should get through the HoR.....
Unless he sorts out a deal with trump before he leaves the whitehousePete it'll be back to the drawing board for the current US:UK FTA now Biden has won.
- While the transition to Biden happens negotiations will pause.
- Clearly he's going to take a much, much more pro-Europe stance than Trump. The current US:UK proposed FTA was riddled with what could have become technical barriers to trade for the EU. That not won't happen.
- Any hope that the US would pick up the slack in the new year for the UK is now gone, or so unlikely that you cannot factor it in.
On the flipside, an outline UK:EU FTA has now never been more likely.
Unless he sorts out a deal with trump before he leaves the whitehouse
