This thread ceased to have any real meaning quite a while ago and I believed it should have been closed as we had left the EU. A thread along the lines of ‘how do we negotiate a good deal’ or ‘developing the UK’s overseas business’ would have been far more productive. Instead we have a Remainer rearguard trying to talk down or undermine the U.K. while slavishly agreeing with everything the EU does, even though it’s to the detriment of their own country and futures...just read the posts....

The only people undermining the UK are the people you vote for who think/know you are all too stupid or jingoistic to ever look at this outside of rose tinted little Englander glasses.
The country will be worse because of Brexit and you’d rather be immovable than admit it.

Can you point to a single Brexit Leave voter on here who is unhappy...asking on behalf of the 17,400,000 who voted Leave.....
This, is true tbh. The problem is that the debate is so polarised that people who voted one way or another are becoming increasingly entrenched in their views. There’s no backing down now.
I imagine that it’s pretty difficult for you to imagine a scenario that would mean you reversing on everything and that’s the same for me. Can’t see a happy compromise

That wasn’t his assertion though mate. He tried to pass off as fact, that 99.999% of Leave voters would be happy with no deal. Which given that people voted Leave wanting outcomes from retaining SM access, to EEA membership to a full FTA & no deal was an outcome put forward as being desirable by literally no one, is demonstrable nonsense.

Without trawling back there is so many statements of how a trade deal would be easily achieved by the entire spectrum of Brexit. Now at the coal face of Brexit to try present no deal as the desired outcome really is the politics of the mouth the breathers. Really is tedious having to go through the predictable Trump cliché of be prepared to walk away from deal, my poopsies are less predictable, tiresome.

I think we can safely say that unless Pete has surveyed every one of them (even those that have snuffed it) then his assertion is bunkem. That's how these things work, right @Old Blue 2 ?

You will never understand why people voted to leave. I would bet that 99.999% who did are still more than happy to see the back of this EU mob. In addition, the few people I knew who voted remain are now solid leavers. Every negotiation, every utterance from Barnier and Co, merely underlined why the majority wanted to leave. We need to continue to play a straight bat, a deal will be done or a series of mini deals will be done, whatever really, but the days of playing games with this bunch of arrogant, self serving bureaucrats is coming to an end.....
Oh most definitely Pete...

Problem is that it's countered by the few diehard 'kippers' that I know, who have been so disgusted by the lack of kept promises from the UK, that they've just made donations to the New European and have all just got tattoos of the EU flag.

I think they just got bored of all the insults tbh. Even I gave up on it for a while as it seemed to be a zone for U.K. bashers to have a one sided debate and agree with themselves ....

In a word: True.

Originating from Liverpool, and having deep Irish ancestry, I have my own views on the Irish border problem, but I won't share them with a tosser like you. So enjoy your childish baiting (as usual).

Bye.
Life comes at you quickly eh fellas:coffee:
