And talking of which, the U.K. - Japan FTA has been agreed today.....I wonder if people in here will be happy or sad......

It’s good practice though. The EU have been doing all this stuff for us in the past so the experience is welcome. This is just a small first step and there is no downside to it. It will also help with the U.K.’s discussions to join the CPTPP, a trading bloc with a similar GDP and population as the EU. Not as a replacement but as an additional opportunity for free trade. Small steps.....
