Well, just as well the UK is completely free of corruption then, isn't it? I mean you wouldn't see a contract for cross channel ferries awarded to a company with no ships who's owner happened to be mates with somebody or millions of pounds of medical contracts awarded to a shell company which just happens to be owned by somebody close to a minister, would you?
There are loads of corrupt practices taking place at every level of government, from brown envelopes given for building planning permission to contracts given to mates. It’s a disgrace and culprits should be locked up, but at least our money is kept within the U.K. and our own economy. Even in football, the Europeans were up to their necks in corruption, Blatter, Platini anyone....
