There's an interesting parallel between this and a recent debate on Australian tv on climate change (the clip below sums it up). In the interest of 'balance', Australian senator Malcolm Roberts was on there talking utter bunkem, thus getting air time for what is sheer nonsense. At the same time, it's poo poohing the idea that Brian Cox (an expert) actually knows what he's talking about, or indeed that expert institutions (NASA in this instance) can be trusted to act responsibly.

Brilliant. Malcolm Roberts can play Gove in this spin-off. Don't trust the experts!

When I was. School in the late 1960,s they were predicting an ice age!
Seen a documentary on channel 4, and an Icelandic scientist living not far from the North Pole, he stated now we have the technology to travel there, the pictures you see of the melting is their warm period like as natural as our seasons!
In other words go back 3 months later the ice refeezes it also went into the late 1890,s when the river Thames froze over so bad they held a weekly market on it!
It's gradual seasons changing IE Nature!

None of that is true. What is true, is that ice caps are actually melting because the earth is steadily getting warmer.

The main crux of the climat change discussion should be about cause. That the planet is warming is obvious, anyone around the age 50 plus would tell you the seasons have shifted and altered and there are more 'events' within their lifetime, but I personally put it down to precession or pole shift than the farts of a million cows and some lynx africa...

Spot on Pete listening to LBC radio this Am since Brexit stock market at level highs, tourism in the UK a massive hike worth Billions - no emergency budget needed, and that cliff we were supposed to fall off never appeared like global warming all hype!

Funny that my friend just come back from lanzorote made no difference to him slight difference not noticeable her remembers when a euro was at the level of our £ well before Brexit in the crash blame the bankers!

yes when i was at school the experts were predicting an ice age in the future also gain an o level in Environmental studies - great new subject on the syllabus in 1971 opted for that instead of geography.
IMO its a con to make money - Fracking safe my backside - its just nature seasonal changes in my era of growing up we had nearly every house burning coal- industry on a big scale in the midlands it was known as the black country for its industry the potteries pumped smoke out in Stoke
oh the nickname of London was for a Northerner Im going down to the smoke !
all this has cleaned up yet global warming is now running riot oh by the way the ozone layer is now nearly repaired!
It's all about cashing in on scientist phenoms imo!
yet the big super powers put two fingers to it all , and they are the worlds biggest pollutants!
