The time for bickering is over now, we all have to hope this is a success as no one wants to be worse off.

We should really park the derogatory remarks about who voted what and for what reason as what is done is done. People who voted for Brexit could be in the Pete camp where they genuinely believe that it will make the UK stronger for being out, they could have straddled the economically stronger and stop immigration boundary and then the ones who didn't care about the health of the nation as long as less foreigners come in. They are not all thick, it's just a different interpretation of the data.

We have to hope that a deal can be found, however this post:

Is correct and with the noises coming out today about no to keeping in line with regulations is going to end with us having a no deal exit at the end of the year.

Which is what they wanted all along as the 3% are set to make a killing.

It needs the Pete's and Joey's to really hold them to account. They have a huge majority, and if they slip into the "I could shoot someone in Time Square and none of my base would care" territory, then it becomes pretty dangerous. I'm fine with leave voters thinking Brexit will make things better, but it's now beholden on them to make sure the government do make things better rather than try and spin a worse situation as something great.

They all want different things Bruce.

I've no doubt, but so long as things are generally getting better, then that's probably a good thing. I appreciate in areas like immigration, their idea of better is not ours, but in other areas, it should be fairly black and white. Is trade easier or harder than it is now? Are our rights greater or less than they are now? Do regulations help or hinder society more or less than they do now?

Pete has made a lot of noise about his version of Brexit being to hold Westminster to account for what happens here, so I sincerely hope that he and other Brexit supporters now do that and don't swallow any old muck just because it's under the banner of 'Brexit'. I'm not immediately confident, given that they appeared to be happy with a withdrawal agreement that had already been rejected in the biggest parliamentary defeat in 100 years or so, purely because any form of Brexit was better than no Brexit, but as we're constantly reminded, they won the debate, so now must take ownership of the delivery.

We both know that won’t happen, as admitting that the reality didn’t match the brochure would involve them admitting they were wrong, and that just isn’t going to happen.

We could all be eating BBQ’d rat and living in tents and they’d still argue that they found rat tasty and open air living was better than living under the imaginary Jackboot of dem Germans and the EU.

I believe @peteblue is a man of his word so wouldn't dare to be so cowardly.

Your whole post is full of common sense mate, and the bit I've quoted is true as well, but needs putting in context.

Those with money ( like Rees-Mogg ), know how to make money out of pretty much any situation, so, yes, they'll make almost certainly make money out of Brexit, but, if the referendum vote had gone the other way, then they'd have made money out of that too.

I’m always a bit skeptical of the authenticity of this kind of thing to be honest. Regardless, the assertions from the likes of @Old Blue 2 that brexit hasn’t emboldened racist elements in our society is both laughable and worrying.

I believe the council (in this instance Norwich I think) have varified it at least being real with posters now having been taken down. Whether anyone that put the posters up actually meant it is secondary isnt it?
