I just really hope the brexiteers can recover from the racism and facism suffered, all political discussion should cease from here on out until a retired straight white man can live their life without persecution
If you went to live in any other country in the world, apart from Ireland, then exactly the same would apply to you. If anybody from outside of the EU went to live in an EU country, they would also be faced with the same issues. The question is do you consider that racist. I know that you do, and in the pure definition of the word you have an argument. But for me, you need to be able to distinguish between that sort of discrimination, and the sort of behaviour that led to the production of that notice.
Expect mental gymnastics and dictionary definitions that remove all context, to explain why this isn't racist.
That inverted racism in here though! and the fascism! Goodness gracious
Got to give it to them.
A second referendum/cancelling brexit looked odds on.
Johnson somehow pulled it out of the bag.
It was his last chance if doing it with the election and he did it despite all of the possibilities of delaying or cancelling it.
Only you already have made your views and political leanings known mate, but you’ve either forgotten or you’re just a hypocrite.
Down with the pesky search function.
Nasty for calling you out as an transparent hypocrite? You’re a nasty piece of work FLHD, IMHO of course.
Stay out of Politics. We’ve enough stirrers as it is without the likes of you joining their ranks.
And have a word with your shadow, Charlie whomever.
You're so right and wrong at the same time that I truly admire this post. I never thought it could be done.
If your life has been adversely affected by any of the issues you have seen on tonight's thread, you have my sincere sympathies and I do not wish to mock
But... the making light? Don't go in the jokes thread. The disabled get it (especially the wooded legged), the Irish AND the blondes. They even have a pop at a female who plays golf with her foo foo.
You’re a nasty piece of work FLHD, IMHO of course.

Erm, what did I do? Maybe something was lost in the written form. No disrespect meant, just a bad stab at humour. In a different thread. What?!?!
I respect any opinion just prefer if its backed up by facts and comes with respect the other way. Especially on a debating forum. Would you prefer we had a system where we only discussed issues you found comfortable?
Do you have some authority over others in here?Stay out of Politics.
The same people might in 10/15 years do a 180 if it means they can get a head start on the futures market by the UK rejoining (should the EU still be functioning and generally doing better than us)
I’d wager (no pun intended) that he had plenty riding on short positions around the October leaving date.Course they would mate.
Which kind of shows what I was trying to say, in that they're as much exploiters of the situation as causers of it. They doubtless pushed at the door to help get what they wanted, but people who are looking to blame them should be looking closer at the dismal campaign run by the various Remain camps, who showed a ridiculous arrogance in not really believing the public would vote to leave.
As an aside, Crispin Odey is often put forward as someone who made millions with his hedge fund on the Brexit result, which is true, but it's only part of the story. If you look at his fund's performance, it did really well until about 2015, and really well between 2007 and 2015. But it's lost about 10% in the last 12 months, is about break even over three years and has lost money over a five year period. So basically, his win on the Brexit result has since been wiped out, and he did much, much better before the referendum was called, which basically shows you
a ) Should recognise that facts in isolation don't tell the whole story and
b ) Shouldn't trust anyone called Crispin with your money
