Seems there'll be a few legal challenges that have to be overcome before article 50 can be signed, not least, a breach of the good Friday agreement. I'd imagine the powers that be don't want to sign and will continue to put it off while doing their best to appease the pro Brexit public. This will leave Britain in some sort of long term political and economic limbo.
Not when the new PM states Brexit means Brexit, the sooner we sign it the better with the Germans, and the French in up and coming elections?

what??
Saying 'Brexit means Brexit' is exactly what I'm talking about when I say the powers that be are appeasing the pro Brexit public. Activating article 50 would be a breach of constitutional law and there for needs to be dealt with legally before being activated. If it is not dealt with before hand, It will be held up for ever in the courts.
Brexit might happen in 15 to 20 years but not in the next 2

Unfortunately Joey66, the politicians can procrastinate all they wish to, and no amount of public outrage will change that. Outrage will be dependant upon some form of demonstrative act, which will be difficult to organise due to an enormous amount of apathy amongst the Brexits, as they believe the casting vote will be 'honoured'.
This will be totally unlike the demo which took place on behalf of the Remains within a couple of days after the result was announced, because that was largely 'encouraged' by financiers and steering committees etc.
When i was i politics and hoping to enter the Foreign Office, every single issue was presided over for an age if it was not in the interests of the select committee.
Best get yourself ready for the long haul, as this is going to be a bumpy ride should things not start to happen imminently.

Great jargon I can see an early general election with Labour non exsistant the larger Conservative majority will carry Brexit through the commons no problem Brexit means out of the EU waffle all you want it will happen nailed on !

There might be a ground swell of UKIP support and it might move through the commons no problem but it will definitely be challenged again and again on the legal side. This will cause the delay. I think a clean break is best here but I just can't see it happening.

This from the legal team threatening to file suit in Northern Ireland.

"The purpose of our clients’ correspondence is to put the Prime Minister and the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland on notice of their intention to apply to the High Court in Belfast for leave to apply for judicial review, if the Prime Minister fails to commit to comply with the UK’s constitutional and legal obligations in deciding whether and when to trigger Article 50.

"These obligations include safeguarding the unique requirements of Northern Ireland constitutional law and statute, in particular the statutory recognition of the Belfast-Good Friday Agreement, and satisfying the requirements of EU law incorporated into the law of Northern Ireland by the European Communities Act 1972."

Feel free to ignore these legal challenges but they're hardly 'utter rubbish'

As I said let's wait and see, the Tories will put it in their manefesto which is binding, Labour will lose 50 percent of its seats, it will pass through May will not fall on her sword as you are advocating!

I'm not advocating that at all. Her hands and those of all politicians will be tied.
Article 50 is not going to pass smoothly through westminster and be simply implemented. It will be subject to legal challenges. Also, the Tory manifesto, unlike the good Friday agreement, is not binding.
