It's not all smiles on Erasmus. Our lass ended up in Newport. Think of the poor sods who have to go the other way for once.

Was reading a Czech survey this morning that spoke about languages, and how English is seen as the best language for people to learn, and spending time in Britain as the best way to do that. We can't have that though, just in case they happen to speak Czech when buying mleko and it freaks out @arminisgod

I got the train in darkest West Flanders a few weeks ago and got talking to the old lady next to me. When she found out I lived in Gent she started moaning about all the immigrants in the city. I told her I was an immigrant too and then she kind of started with "Ah yes, but your Dutch is good... erm… and.. y'know"

The daft racist.

I suspect that's common. It's always the 'other' migrants that are the problem. Crazy.

Everything is impossible until you realise it has to be done......
I know wholesale adoption of EU regulations.

Geopolitical ramifications of Iran has pretty much fortold Brexiteers the direction of Johnson. It's just a matter of Brexiteers position, squark or put up and shut up.
There is the faint possibility of no deal. So it's down to who gets the consequences of Johnson lie, Brexiteers or new Tory voters up north.

Very fond of Gent. Used to be a splendid café there. Pascalinos, I think it was called. Rather spoiled by the number of Belgians in there, but what can you do?
