You looking forward to more homeless on the streets, no social housing, more food banks, complete privatisation of the NHS, more tax havens in the UK, tortuous negotiations on trade deals with the EU and others lead by Liz Truss which will take ages. food prices rocketing? Further cuts to local authority budgets (except for the tory run ones), Tax cuts for the highest earners, more cuts in public services. And this makes the UK (whats left of it) a better place?
Nobody knows what will happen, bud. If all of those things do happen, which I doubt, then I wouldn't enjoy it. Why would you even ask that..?

A lot of things were mentioned during referendum campaigning, by one side of the other, so it's not like people were unaware of the potential risks of voting Leave. Yet they still voted Leave.

If you don't want cuts in public services, and want to tax high earners, then vote for a Lavour government. You don't need the EU for that, you know...

Labour intends to negotiate a new deal with the EU, but then plan to campaign against that deal in favour of remaining. So no, they're not for any form of brexit.

If you read the blurb on their website you'll see they say they'll give a second referendum with the deal and remain and let the people decide. So that is still not a solid remain position for me as it is one that could deliver brexit. So not against the manifesto.

So they'll i) give a second referendum, and ii) campaign for Remain in that referendum... and for you that's sticking to their manifesto of delivering Brexit? Those two things are very much against respecting the 2016 referendum and delivering brexit. lol

From that website...

Labour’s position is simple: Labour trusts the people to decide.

haha How bloody insulting!

Many things were talked up as reality, which are in fact complete fiction and a lot of fact was talked down as 'Project Fear'.

It's not as if they were told they would be getting £300m a week for the NHS or anything. Instead they were told of the dire economic consequences of No Deal and the threat Brexit would bring to the Good Friday Agreement. Lucky them.

Yeah, untruths and exaggerations are common in election campaigns. I can't think of an election campaign in which no lie was ever told. It's up to the opposing side to point out and correct these things, and then for the people to decide what they want. That's just how things go. Both sides were guilty of it, and that's fine. What can you do... lol

Because they clearly don't, otherwise they wouldn't be promoting a second referendum, hoping this time it'll go the way they want it to.
The Labour position on Brexit is that they want a deal.

But they want the public to decide if they want No Deal, Labour's deal or Remain - think of it as an advisory vote on an advisory referendum.

The public get to decide, so everybody gets a say again.

You can say 'that was an appalling way to inform the voting public about a hugely significant political, democratic, constitutional decision, now that they are more informed and the untruths and exaggerations have been exposed - let's ask them again'

Oh that's another great point. Not only are they not going to deliver Brexit, going against their manifesto promise, but they're also going to design the ballot to split the Leave vote.

It's in no way delivering Brexit. They want to have a second referendum - one splitting Leave - and then they intend on campaigning against the deal they reportedly want to negotiate with the EU.

Nobody in their right mind is buying this argument, bud. Just admit that Labour are going against their manifesto promise.

If one side lied or exaggerated some claim during the campaign, then it's upto the other side to point these things out. And that's exactly what happened on both sides. You're never going to get an election campaign of any kind where lies aren't told.. And if you're going to re-run elections because a lie was told during campaigning, then we'll never have a government again. lol lol

A manifesto promise made for the 2017 GE which they lost in...

Elections are different to referendum, they are run under different legal guidelines.

Had the referendum been run under the same principles as a GE it would have been void lol lol

lmao.. I'm pretty sure I've informed you of this, but the MPs that were elected ran on those manifestos, and those MPs still have to represent their constituents. Just because you didn't win the most seats in parliament doesn't mean you can ignore promises made in the manifesto you ran on! lol
