This WAB would have been destroyed this time too once the amendments were voted on. I think Johnson knows that too which is why he is pulling it now before he loses control of it. It could very easily end up as a Labour Brexit with customs union etc.

What happens next is very much in the hands of the EU. Personally I can't see them agreeing to an extension without strict conditions attached. So a November election it is then.

Don't be surprised if you see a pre election pact between the Tories and BP.

Doubt it, unless Farage is purged and Banks takes over what remains.

If Boris does not get the right sound bites on a say two week extension then expect phillibuisting to go to the 31st and we will be out with no deal or the deal that got voted for tonight - Dominic Grieve admitted he wants another referendum as an amendment - that will not be allowed, its either no deal or the deal that passed by 30 votes tonight or a GE imo.....
At the end of the day the public see the HOC after 3 years frustrate Brexit again .... vote for it then want to add conditions is undermining any PM .... any PM will need a majority to break this deadlock.....

You have no clue what you're talking about... read the Benn Act. If the EU offer us an extension we have to accept it. The EU will offer us an extension - no deal on the 31st is impossible.

And if they don't? Everyone seems very sure of the EU offering another extension... But why would they? What will change?

They've already said they won't be responsible for a no deal. That's why they will offer us one as long as a path to a deal or revocation exists.

No deal is impossible on the 31st unless Poland or Hungary go rogue.

This is all sorts of confused.

Farage has already handed out the olive branch. It's Johnson who didn't accept it as he was working on "his deal".

I think it's fair to say that now there's no chance of a 31st October Brexit, I doubt that deal will ever see the light of day again; not that there was ever any realistic chance it was going to get through anyway.

I think it's also fair to say that Johnson will do anything to get Brexit done and to get a majority in the next GE, I believe that includes jumping into bed with the BP, not least because he could very easily lose perhaps 30% of the Tory vote to them if they were in direct opposition. Johnson may be many things but stupid isn't one of them.

As I said. Don't be surprised if you see a pre election pact between the 2 parties. The trade off for BP support on Tory right wing policies would be a Brexit on WTO terms.

My fear is that second vote tonight has condemned the UK to a no deal Brexit.
