A better question to ask yourself, rather than getting angry at Labour, is why didn't the government publish the WAB months ago? It may well have been able to get it passed in the timetable proposed.

And its a completely unforced error. May made a show of herself with random deadlines, and Johnson for no reason whatsoever beyond political stupidity has made the same error.

He's the one who has put so much stock in it - he didn't need to.

The EU, in their own words, "will never be responsible for no deal" - as long as progress is made or there's a path to a deal, the EU will extend.

It is Johnson and Johnson alone who has made it so important.
