Very funny not
the uk was doing a lot better then, we r already in a trade war with asia however we arent fighting back.Trade tariffs have historically proven to damage global economic growth.
All it does is causes trade wars.
Learn the lessons of the 19th and 20th Centuries for goodness sake.
When we had industries you mean, and traded with the commonwealth not perfect , but a million times better than the Common Market which without our vote became a political union you just a bad loser IMO!About as relevant as you saying things were all fine and dandy in the 60s and 70s.
Actually the bikes probably made in China with cheap recycled steelSorry about the swear word but it sums up a lot of views

Successive governments, plus less demand for heavy industry killed off a lot of jobs in Britain, subsequent lack of forsight by govenments, schools and various companies are to blame for poorly paid jobsWhen we had industries you mean, and traded with the commonwealth not perfect , but a million times better than the Common Market which without our vote became a political union you just a bad loser IMO!

Not a bad loser at all mate. I am no EU fanatic, far from it.
As I have said many times, when the implications of what we have actually voted for sank in, I honestly believe that an awful lot of normal folk have had a collective moment of "oh, I didnt really think that through"
I might be wrong, and fwiw, I hope it all goes swimmingly, and given time, and the natural fortitude of Brits, we will be ok, eventually.
But leavers like you seem to think there will be no pain in the coming years, that the world is lining up to offer us brilliant trade deals, and the good old working class will be freed from the yolk of free movement that currently stops them doing the jobs that folk like me happily do.
Fair enough , but there was pain when we first joined the common Market which I voted for food prices rocketed, purchase tax at 5-9 percent was changed to VAT 10 percent across all goods when the 9 percent was only on luxury items - our commonwealth countries stopped trading with us butter, Lamb tripped in price overnight! Not a bad loser at all mate.
